03/01: Former Fat Boys Newsletter: This Gigantic Robot Kills and Roostledoodle Doo
I have a lot of news for you today. To kick things off, there's a boatload of new Former Fat Boys tracks and videos headed your way. First things first you have to check out and buy the new MC Lars album This Gigantic Robot Kills and tell your friends about it in real life, Facebook, MySpace, and Twitteronia. Head on over to his MySpace to hear some tracks, but just to put things in perspective the album is fantastic and includes guests like The Aquabats, YTCracker, WEIRD AL YANKOVIC, Simple Plan, Nerf Herder, The Donnas, Cobra Starship, AND FORMER FAT BOYS. We're on the track “We've Arrived” with YTCracker, K. Flay, and Lars doing some bragging and whatnot. If you're still on the fence, head on over to YouTube! and watch the video for the song “Guitar Hero Hero” which is probably one of the funnest music videos I've seen in awhile.
Lars has been really cool to us and has helped with two new songs for our upcoming record “The Legend of Hard Corey” which Corey and I are currently putting the final touches. We're hoping for a late Spring release followed by some shows and then at the end of summer we're planning to release “Party In My Basement” which will hopefully change your lives.
Right now though, I am announcing the release of the first (probably only) Former Fat Boys ringtone album entitled “Roostledoodledoo”.
Check out the cover here:

Roostledoodledoo was inspired by my sense that ringtones were the generally the most insipid awful things I've ever heard AND that a lot of rap music shares those characteristics. I was...err...inspired by the last Kanye West album a lot. Some T-Pain too. So I made what Kanye would call ART and what resulted was the 99 track opus that is Roostledoodledoo. It should be out mid-March or early April, but until then please enjoy the first single SPACEDINOSAUR.
Lastly, I did a new remix of Kelly Clarkson's new single My Live Would Suck Without You and created a sort of hybrid video from other people's YouTube! covers. I think it's pretty fun, have a look here:
As always, thanks for your support and stay tuned for an insane 2009. I'm not screwing around from saying my carpal tunnel is out of control from mixing so many songs and editing so much video.
